Translation of terms of English contract law into Russian

Abstract

Настоящая работа посвящена исследованию перевода терминов английского договорного права на русский язык, а также анализу терминологических соответствий английского и русского договорного права с учетом особенностей правовых систем Российской Федерации и ряда англоязычных стран (Великобритании, США и Австралии). Исследование направлено на создание более четкой картины существующей языковой практики и определение того, обладают ли термины российского договорного права одинаковыми эквивалентами во всех трех исследуемых вариантах английского языка.

This paper deals with the study of the translation of English contract law terms into Russian, as well as the analysis of the terminological correspondences of English and Russian contract law, taking into account the peculiarities of the legal systems of the Russian Federation and a number of English-speaking countries (Great Britain, the United States and Australia). The research is aimed at creating a clearer picture of the existing linguistic usage and determining whether the terms of Russian contract law have the same equivalents in all three studied varieties of the English language.
