Developing a PR strategy to promote the activities of the DESIS SPbU design laboratory

Abstract

В рамках данной диссертации рассматриваются проблемы дизайн-образования и, в частности, дизайн-лабораторий, поскольку их деятельность становится медиаторской, соединяющей деятельность университетов, институтов и колледжей с бизнесом, культурными, государственными и инновационными проектами, выходящими за пределы дизайн-образования. Кафедра дизайна СПбГУ на протяжении более чем пяти лет ведёт исследовательскую и проектную деятельность в области социально-ориентированного и устойчивого дизайна. «DESIS SPbU» – единственный представитель России в Ассоциации DESIS. В диссертации рассматривается деятельность ассоциации «DESIS Network» и лаборатории дизайна «DESIS SPbU». Проанализированы методы дизайн-мышления и разработки социально-ориентированных продуктов и сервисов. «DESIS SPbU» рассматривается как дизайн-лаборатория, обладающая образовательными, исследовательскими, коммуникативными, интернациональными и перформативными функциями. Исследования в процессе разработки проекта позволили создать гибкую концептуальную модель, которая задает принцип живой системы всей коммуникативной стратегии, способной работать как на продвижение деятельности лаборатории дизайна в пространстве СПбГУ, так и на демонстрацию результатов этой деятельности, обмен опытом с партнерами и ассоциацией «DESIS Network». Логотип лаборатории «DESIS SPbU», созданный на основе концепции айдентики, демонстрирует различные контексты исследовательской, организаторской, образовательной и проектной деятельности лаборатории «DESIS SPbU». Концептуальная основа айдентики позволила спроектировать ключевые образы лаборатории, опирающиеся на историю, теоретическую основу и географическую 108 информацию, факты, связанные с лабораторией и ассоциацией «DESIS Network». Система носителей, опирающаяся на коммуникативную стратегию проекта, является основой для развития образовательной, исследовательской и проектной деятельности лаборатории «DESIS SPbU» в двух направлениях: в пространстве СПбГУ и России, и в международном пространстве. Проект может быть применен в пространстве лаборатории «DESIS SPbU», в образовательном процессе: на лекциях, образовательных мероприятиях, в рамках презентаций и событий в пространстве СПбГУ и на международных конференциях, представлять лабораторию в виртуальном пространстве.

Within the framework of this topic, the problems of design education are considered in design laboratories, in particular, since their activities often include mediation, linking the activities of universities, institutes, and colleges with business, cultural, government and innovative projects that go beyond design education. The Department of Design of St. Petersburg State University has been conducting research and design activities in the field of socially relevant and sustainable design for more than five years. DESIS SPbU is the only representative of Russia in the DESIS Network. The dissertation examines the activities of the DESIS Network Association and the DESIS SPbU Design Laboratory. The methods of design thinking and development of socially-oriented products and services are analyzed. DESIS SPbU is considered as a design laboratory with educational, research, communication, international and performative functions. Research during the project development process allowed us to create a flexible conceptual model that sets the principle of a living system of the entire communication strategy, which can work both to promote the activities of the design laboratory in the space of St. Petersburg State University, and to demonstrate the results of this activity, exchange experience with partners and the DESIS Network association. The logo of the DESIS SPbU laboratory, created on the basis of the concept of identity, demonstrates the various contexts of the research, organizational, educational and project activities of the DESIS SPbU laboratory. The conceptual basis of the identity allowed us to design key images of the laboratory, based on the history, theoretical basis and geographical information, facts related to the laboratory and the DESIS Network association. The media system, based on the project's communication strategy, is the basis for the development of educational, research and project activities of the DESIS SPbU laboratory in two directions: in the space of St. Petersburg State University and Russia, and in the international space. The project can be applied in the space of the DESIS SPbU laboratory, in the educational process: at lectures, educational events, as part of presentations and events in the space of St. Petersburg State University and at international conferences, to represent the laboratory in a virtual space.
