Psychological correlates of subjective well-being of students

Abstract

Для изучения коррелятов субъективного благополучия студентов разных специальностей было обследовано 100 студентов 3-4 курсов. Измерялись: уровень субъективного благополучия (М.В.Соколова), уровень субъективного контроля (Дж. Роттера), психологическое благополучие (К. Рифф), уровень самоактуализации личности (А. Шостром) уровень самооценки и притязаний (Дембо-Рубинштейн). Результаты. Проведенный сравнительный анализ показывает, различая между студентами разных специальностей в оценивании факторов своего субъективного благополучия. Студенты юристы и психологи отличаются по шкалам «напряженность и чувствительность» и «психоэмоциональная симптоматика». Общий индекс локус контроля у студентов психологов и студентов-юристов различен: студенты психологи больше ориентированы на себя самого, у них развит внутренний локус контроль, в то время как студенты юристы ориентированы на поиск внешних причин, происходящих с ними событий. Разница по шкале психологического благополучия наблюдается у студентов разных специальностей в сферах: личностного роста, отношений, самопринятия. Показатели по уровню самооценки различаются у студентов разных специальностей по категориям: характер и авторитетность. Самооценка у студентов юристов выше по параметрам: ум, способности, авторитетность, красота. В то же время студенты психологи выше оценивают себя по параметрам: здоровье, характер, уверенность в себе. Наиболее выраженной характеристикой по группе студентов - психологов является ценностная ориентация, самоуважение, взгляд на природу человека.

For studying of correlates of subjective wellbeing of students of different specialties 100 students of 3-4 courses have been examined. Were measured: level of subjective wellbeing (M.V. Sokolov), level of subjective control (J. Rotter), psychological wellbeing (K. Riff), level of self-updating of the personality (A. Shostrom) level of a self-assessment and claims (Dembo-Rubenstein). Results. he carried-out comparative analysis shows existence of obvious differences between students of different specialties in estimation of factors of the subjective wellbeing. Law students and psychologists differ on scales "intensity and sensitivity" and "psychoemotional symptomatology". The general index a control locus at students of psychologists and law students is various: students psychologists are more focused on themselves, they have developed an internal locus control while law students are focused on search of the external reasons of the events happening to them. The difference on a scale of psychological wellbeing is observed at students of different specialties in spheres: personal growth, relations, self-acceptance. Indicators on the level of a self-assessment differ at students of different specialties on categories: character and authoritativeness. The self-assessment at law students is higher in parameters: mind, abilities, authoritativeness, beauty. At the same time students psychologists estimate themselves in parameters above: health, character, self-confidence. At students of psychological specialty the level of claims is higher, than at parameters lawyers: character, self-confidence. If to analyze a difference between a self-assessment and level of claims of students of different specialties, then it is possible to find out that considerably this difference differs on indicators: health, character, authoritativeness. The most expressed characteristic on group of students - psychologists is valuable orientation, self-esteem, a view of human nature.
