The Development of the St.Petersburg Stock Exchange in the Second Half of the 19th - Early 20th Centuries

Данное диссертационное исследование посвящено изучению истории крупнейшей в Российской империи фондовой биржи - Санкт-Петербургской фондовой биржи в конце XIX - начале XX вв. В работе рассмотрены предпосылки к разработке реформы Биржи 1901 года, особенности ее проведения, включая создание фондового отдела, изменения структуры фондовой биржи. Целью диссертационного исследования стало определение влияния на работу Биржи и динамику котировок акций крупных промышленных предприятий и банков Российской империи исторических событий и политических процессов внутри страны, а также на внешнеполитической арене с 1899-1914 гг. В работе приведён подробный анализ динамики котировок акций крупных предприятий Российской империи на Санкт-Петербургской фондовой бирже с помощью современных методов вычисления.

This dissertation research is devoted to studying the history of the largest stock exchange in the Russian Empire - the St. Petersburg Stock Exchange in the late XIX - early XX centuries. The paper considers the prerequisites for the development of the Exchange reform of 1901, the features of its implementation, including the creation of the stock department, changes in the structure of the stock exchange. The purpose of the dissertation research was to determine the impact on the work of the Exchange and the dynamics of stock prices of large industrial enterprises and banks of the Russian Empire of historical events and political processes within the country, as well as in the foreign policy arena from 1899-1914. The paper provides a detailed analysis of the dynamics of stock prices of large enterprises of the Russian Empire on the St. Petersburg Stock Exchange using modern calculation methods.
