The impact of the sanctions policy of the Baltic region countries on cross-border cooperation with the North-West region of Russia

Abstract

В работе представлен анализ поэтапного развития трансграничного сотрудничества субъектов Северо-Западного региона России со странами Балтийского региона.Рассматриваются различные модели и формы трансграничного сотрудничества, которые исторически сложились под влиянием ряда факторов. С усилением воздействия геополитического фактора и введением санкционного режима в отношении России происходит трансформация модели региона трансграничного сотрудничества в регион санкционно-геополитического типа. В работе показано, как её утверждение негативно сказалось на системе трансграничных связей Северо-Западных субъектов РФ с прибалтийскими странами, с помощью авторской типологии стран по степени воздействия санкций на трансграничное сотрудничество.

This research deals with an analysis of the phased development of transborder cooperation of subjects of the North-West region of Russia with the countries of the Baltic region. Different models and forms of transborder cooperation that are historically developed under the influence of different factors are considered. The model of the region of transborder cooperation is transformed into a model of the geopolitics of sanctions type due to the increased impact of geopolitical factors and the sanctions against Russia. It is spoken in detail how the geopolitics of sanctions negatively affected the system of transborder relations of the North-Western regions of the Russian Federation with the Baltic countries, using the author's typology of countries according to the degree of impact of sanctions on transborder cooperation.
