The estimation of the Vendian aquifer system resources by numerical modelling: a case study of the Leningrad region

В рамках работы создана численная геофильтрационная модель вендского водоносного комплекса (ВВК) на территории Карельского перешейка и г. Санкт-Петербург, учитывающая взаимодействие с зоной трещиноватости фундамента, перекрывающим региональным водоупором и четвертичными отложениями. Просчитано 4 прогнозных сценария влияния различной техногенной нагрузки на ресурсы ВВК, осуществлена оценка ресурсного потенциала, в том числе с учётом климатических изменений. Рассмотрены 2 сценария влияния долговременных климатических изменений в прошлом на условия формирования ресурсов и качество воды ВВК.

In this study a numerical geofiltration model of the Vendian aquifer system (VAS) on the Karelian Isthmus and Saint Petersburg has been created. It has been taken into account the interaction with the fracture zone of the basement, the overlapping regional aquiclude and quaternary deposits. Four anticipated scenarios for the anthropogenic impact on the VAS resources has been calculated. Furthermore, the resource potential has been estimated, with climate change taken into account. In addition, two scenarios for the influence of long-term climate change in the past on the conditions of resource formation and water quality of the VAS has been studied.
