The analysis and assessment of engineering and geological conditions of different areas of the Sambia Peninsula coastal zone to develop their engineering and geological typification

Abstract

Самбийский полуостров располагается в западной части Калининградской области. Берега полуострова омывает Балтийское море. Береговая зона Самбийского полуострова характеризуется активной литодинамикой. Берег ежегодно разрушается и отступает. Береговая линия полуострова сильно застроена и плотность сооружений с каждым годом увеличивается. Это обусловливает высокую значимость и актуальность инженерно-геологических наблюдений в пределах Самбийского побережья. Инженерно-геологические условия рассмотренных в работе участков зависят от множества влияющих на них факторов. Каждому из исследованных в работе факторов был присвоен определенный индекс. Индексы использовались при построении схемы инженерно-геологической типизации для выбранных участков. Типизация территорий и участков по определенным признакам упрощает процесс дальнейшей оценки и прогноза инженерно-геологических условий. Инженерно-геологическая типизация участков позволяет использовать метод аналогии при оценке их инженерно-геологических условий.

The Sambian peninsula is located in the western part of the Kaliningrad region. The coast of the peninsula is washed by the Baltic Sea. The coastal zone of the Sambian Peninsula is characterized by active lithodynamics. The shore is destroyed and retreats annually. The coastline of the peninsula is built up a lot and the urban density is increasing every year. That determines the high significance and relevance of geotechnical observations within the Sambian coast. Engineering and geological conditions of the sites considered in the work depend on many factors influencing them. Each of the factors studied in the work was assigned a specific index. Indexes were used in constructing the engineering-geological typing scheme for selected sites. The typification of territories and sites simplifies the process of further assessment and forecasting of geotechnical conditions. Engineering and geological typification of sites allow to use the method of analogy in assessing their engineering and geological conditions.
