Restoration of a painting on the door leaf in the Green Drawing Room of the Nabokov museum

Abstract

Тема выпускной квалификационной работы - реставрация живописи левого откоса северо-восточного дверного портала Зеленой гостиной дома-музея В. В. Набокова. Дверной откос, переданный на реставрацию является частью северо-восточного дверного портала Зеленой гостиной. В ходе неоднократных ремонтов, интерьер Зеленой гостиной был закрашен множеством слоев малярной краски. До начала реставрационных работ, помимо белой малярной закраски, дверной откос находился в аварийном состоянии: глубокая трещина по всей длине с отставаниями красочных слоев с угрозой осыпи, отставания и деформации красочных слоев, утраты, общепылевые поверхностные загрязнения. Целью работы было составить описание состояния сохранности, провести фотофиксацию всех этапов работы, провести исследования, устранить деформации и вздутия, удалить масляные слои белой краски, укрепить авторский красочный слой. После проведенных реставрационных мероприятий были удалены поздние малярные закраски. После расчистки и исследования в УФ лучах выяснилось, что авторская живопись поновлялась, видимо это произошло в период, когда проводились множественные перестройки здания. Важным моментом является выявление и сохранение авторских следов золочения. После реставрации весь раскрытый авторский красочный слой был укреплен.

The theme of the final qualifying work is the restoration of the painting of the left slope of the northeast door portal of the Green Living Room of the V. Nabokov House-Museum. The door slope submitted for restoration is part of the northeast door portal of the Green Living Room. During repeated repairs, the interior of the Green Living Room was painted over with many layers of paint. Before the beginning of the restoration work, in addition to the white paintwork, the door slope was in disrepair: a deep crack along the entire length with lagging of paint layers with the threat of scree, lagging and deformation of paint layers, losses, general dusty surface contamination. The aim of the work was to compile a description of the state of preservation, to photograph all stages of the work, conduct research, eliminate deformations and swelling, remove oil layers of white paint, strengthen the author's paint layer. After the restoration measures were taken, late painting was removed. After clearing and research in the UV rays, it turned out that the author's painting was renewed, apparently it happened during the period when multiple restructuring of the building was carried out. The important point is the identification and preservation of copyright traces of gilding. After restoration, the entire disclosed paint layer was strengthened.
