Quantum problem of charged particle interacting with charged conducting sphere

Abstract

Excited states of the charged particle interacting with charged conducting sphere are considered making use of the irreducible discrete representation of the algebra SO(2,1). Energy levels of the highly excited Rydberg states are given in terms of the effective principal quantum number.
