The article is focused on the analysis of consistent trends in textual arrangement of modal words and phrases as markers of the author’s presence. Their initial, final and middle position is being connected to communicative weight, functional yield and grammatical inclusion specifics of them as typical determinate members into the structure of an integral syntactic construction.
