Linguistic categories from the perspective of anthropocentrism

Abstract

This article is focused on a general typology of linguistic categories from the perspective of anthropocentrism. They are primarily divided into the formal-structural and informative ones. The formal-structural categories are considered as the ones being in a status of stereotypes normalizing communicators’ speech activity. Among the informative language categories, the communicative-pragmatic and semantic-cognitive ones are suggested. They are related to the interpretational and, accordingly, to the conceptual-categorizing activity of subjects of knowledge and communication.
