Prevention of negative attitudes to dental treatment among children

Abstract

Выпускная квалификационная работа на тему «Профилактика негативного отношения детей к стоматологическому лечению» выполнена студенткой Санкт-Петербургского государственного университета факультета стоматологии и медицинских технологий 5 курса 523 группы Тархановой Марией Николаевной под руководством к.м.н. Васяниной Анны Анатольевны на кафедре стоматологии. Цель работы: комплексное изучение вопроса детской стоматофобии и предложение путей решения данной проблемы. В ходе работы были изучены существующие научные источники, посвящённые исследованию и анализу деталей стоматологического приема детей: специфика, психологические аспекты, современное обоснование тревожных состояний перед приемом стоматолога и во время него. Также было проведено анкетирование среди родителей дошкольников и детских стоматологов, в ходе которого было выявлено, что, несмотря на практически безболезненность и высокий уровень развития современной стоматологии, стоматофобия остаётся крайне актуальной проблемой в процессе лечения пациентов дошкольного возраста. Также в ходе анкетирования докторов было выявлено, что многие дети недостаточно подготовлены к визиту к врачу. Для решения данной проблемы в ходе работы было разработано краткое информационное пособие для родителей в виде памятки, включающей в себя рекомендации и методы по подготовке ребёнка к посещению доктора. Выпускная квалификационная работа включает: 58 страниц, 2 таблицы, 69 использованных источников.

The final qualifying work on the topic “Prevention of negative attitudes to dental treatment among children” was performed by a 5th year student of St. Petersburg State University, Faculty of Dentistry and Medical Technologies Maria Nikolaevna Tarkhanova under the guidance of Ph.D. Anna Anatolyevna Vasyanina at the Department of Dentistry. Objective: a comprehensive study of the fear of dentists by children, an important issue of pediatric dentistry and suggesting ways to solve this problem. In the course of the work, were studied the existing scientific sources devoted to the study and analysis of the details of dental children reception : specificity, psychological aspects, modern substantiation of anxiety states before and during the dental appointment. Also during the study was conducted a survey among parents of preschoolers and pediatric dentists, during which it was found that, despite the practically painless metodes of treatment and high level of development modern dentistry, stomatophobia remains a very big issue in the process of treating patients of preschool age. Besides that, during the survey of doctors it was revealed that many children are not sufficiently prepared for the visit to the doctor. In order to solve this problem was developed a brief informational manual for parents in the form of a handbook, including recommendations and methods of preparing the child for the doctor's visit. Final qualifying work includes: 58 pages, 2 tables, 69 information sourses.
