Column as a Text Type (Based on Publications of Marcel Reich-Ranicki)

Abstract

The article highlights the phenomenon of the progressive growth of different means of mass media which causes plurality of opinion and reduces its authority. Th e column as a press genre has typical features which are considered among its history and development. Th e author investigates the means of dialogism as a typical feature of Reich-Ranicki texts, as well as markers of speaking style used as means of argumentation.
