International Strategic Alliance as A Way to Develop Russian Hi-Tech Innovations

Abstract

The research concerns the problem of innovation development by small Russian companies. The goal of research was to determine how small innovative Russian company can develop high-tech innovations using international strategic alliance. For these purpose the following tasks were performed: adopting theoretical framework for particular case – small Russian innovative company, including analysis of motives of companies entering strategic collaboration for product/technology development, investigation of potential risks and success factors and based on these evaluation of possible cooperation modes. Based on the conducted research we made conclusion that in order to successfully develop innovations Russian company should enter into cooperative joint venture foreign multinational company.
