Work Integration Social Enterprises: European and Russian Experience

Abstract

The main goal of the research is to find out the features and challenges of Russian work integration social enterprises (WISEs) in comparison with the European ones, and to provide recommendations for those challenges. To achieve this goal different types and forms of European WISEs were analyzed using 5-criteria framework. Then, the same framework was implied to investigate features of Russian WISEs. Finally the main challenges WISEs in Russia face were found out through empirical research included four interviews with social entrepreneurs and recommendations based on relevant European practices were provided.
