The multiculturalism policy as a fragmentation factor of the pan-American identity

Abstract

Магистерская диссертация посвящена исследованию политики мультикультурализма, имплементации данной интеграционной модели в США, и ее корреляции с общеамериканской идентичностью. В рамках исследования, в частности, интерпретированы понятие и сущность политики мультикультурализма, выявлены особенности имплементации политики мультикультурализма в различных государствах, выявлены особенности динамики этнокультурной ситуации в США, а также выявлены исторические аспекты и предпосылки становления концепций «плавильного котла» и «салатницы». В результате исследования была подтверждена выдвинутая гипотеза, согласно которой, политика мультикультурализма в США оказывает фрагментирующее влияние на состояние общеамериканской идентичности.

The master's thesis is devoted to the study of the multiculturalism policy, to the study of the implementation of this integration model in the United States, and its correlation with the Pan-American identity. In particular, during the study were interpreted the concept and the essence of the multiculturalism policy, there were revealed specific features of the implementation of the policy of multiculturalism in various states, features of the dynamics of the ethno-cultural situation in the US, and also historical aspects and prerequisites for the development of the concepts of "melting pot" and "salad bowl". As a result of the study was advanced and confirmed the hypothesis, according to which the multiculturalism policy in the United States has a fragmenting influence on the Pan-American identity.
