Linguistic means of argumentation in spontaneous Russian monologue on a given topic (A case study of TV programme “Sila slova”)

Abstract

Работа посвящена анализу языковых средств аргументирующей речи в спонтанном монологе на заданную тему (на материале телепрограммы «Сила слова»). Данная тема представляет научный интерес, поскольку, несмотря на большое количество работ по различным аспектам аргументации, языковые средства аргументации в спонтанном монологе на социокультурные темы нуждаются в изучении. В результате проведенного исследования делается вывод, что выбор тех или иных языковых средств обусловлен лингвистическими и экстралингвистическими факторами и функционально-коммуникативные особенности языковых средств аргументации в спонтанном монологе будут проявляться в зависимости от речевого опыта говорящего. Результаты исследования могут быть использованы в практике преподавания русского языка как иностранного.

This work deals with the analysis of the linguistic means of Russian argumentation in spontaneous monologue on a given topic (a case study of TV programme “Sila slova”). The theme is of scientific relevance for despite the numerous existing works dedicated to several aspects of argumentation, the linguistic means of argumentation in spontaneous monologue concerning socio-cultural topics are yet in need of further study. As a result of the research hereby accomplished, one concludes that the choice of linguistic means depends in both linguistic and non-linguistic factors and that the functional and communicative characteristics of the linguistic means of argumentation in spontaneous monologue depends on the linguistic experience of the speaker. The results of the research can be used in the practice of teaching the Russian language to non-native speakers.
