Using the motifs of folk art in the wooden architecture in the suburbs of St Petersburg in 1820-1870

Abstract

Данная магистерская диссертация посвящена формированию и развитию «русского» стиля в деревянной архитектуре окрестностей Санкт-Петербурга. В ходе исследования проведено сравнение декоративных, конструктивных и объёмно планировочных решений ряда зданий, спроектированных в период 1820 – 1870 гг. В результате анализа данных выделены три основных периода использования элементов народного искусства в деревянной архитектуре Санкт-Петербурга рассматриваемого периода. Также в рамках исследования было проведено натурное обследование объекта культурного наследия «русская изба» в Ораниенбауме. Особое внимание уделяется рассмотрению состояния декора и сохранности здания. Работа включает фиксационные данные по состоянию объекта на начало 2018 г. По результатам обследования составлены предпроектные предложения по реставрации «русской избы».

This master's thesis is devoted to the formation and development of the "Russian" style in the wooden architecture of the surroundings of St. Petersburg. In the course of the study, an analysis was made of decorative, structural and planning solutions of a number of buildings designed during the period 1820 - 1870. As a result of the analysis of data on the use of elements of folk art in the wooden architecture of St. Petersburg in the 19th century, three main periods were singled out. Also within the framework of the research, a full-scale survey of the cultural heritage site "Russian izba" in Oranienbaum was carried out. Particular attention is paid to the examination of the decor and the degree of preservation of the building. The work includes fixation data on the state of the facility at the beginning of 2018. Based on the results of the survey, pre-project proposals for the restoration of the "Russian izba" were compiled.
