Doctor-patient confidentiality: current issues of legal regulation

Abstract

Выпускная квалификационная работа посвящена анализу действующего законодательства в сфере здравоохранения, с целью обнаружения актуальных проблем правового регулирования врачебной тайны. Особое внимание уделено правовым проблемам доступности конфиденциальной информации третьим лицам. Делается вывод о том, что правовое регулирование института врачебной тайны несовершенно. Предлагаются пути решения выявленных проблем.

This Master’s Thesis sets forth an analysis of current Russian legislation regulating healthcare, highlighting legal issues associated with confidentiality and disclosure of medical information. The review emphasizes legal aspects of disclosure of medical information to third parties and the challenges associated with it. The author concludes that laws and regulations within the Russian Federation concerning disclosure of medical information need modification. The author proposes some possible changes of the law.
