Social and economic reforms in Egypt under Gamal Abdel Nasser

Данная работа посвящена анализу социально-экономического и политического развития Египта во второй половине XX века. Хронологические рамки работы охватывают период с середины 1950-х гг. (революция 1952 г.) до 1970 г. (смерть Гамаля Абдель Насера). Целью моего исследования является всестороннее рассмотрение исторического развития Египта до революции 1952 г., выделение основных целей и задач, стоявших перед египетским правительством после Июльской революции, а также попытка определить степень влияния социально-экономических преобразований Насера на дальнейшее развитие страны. При изучении и анализе данного периода истории (1952-1970 гг.) возникает необходимость предпринять подробный экскурс в социально-политическую историю Египта первой половины XX в., поскольку именно тогда были заложены предпосылки революции 1952 г. Первая часть работы состоит из нескольких глав, которые охватывают период с 1922 по 1952 гг. и рассказывают о социально-политических изменениях в Египте за тридцать лет до Июльского переворота 1952 г. Вторая часть содержит информацию о реформах и преобразованиях в период правления Гамаля Абдель Насера, а также о внешней политике Египта во второй половине XX века.

This work is devoted to the analysis of socio-economic and political development of Egypt in the second half of the 20th century. The chronological scope of the work covers the period from the mid-1950s (the revolution of 1952) to 1970 (the death of Gamal Abdel Nasser). The purpose of my research is a comprehensive review of the historical development of Egypt before the revolution in 1952, highlighting of the main objectives and targets which the Egyptian government was facing after the July Revolution, and an attempt to determine the impact of Nasser's social and economic reforms on the further development of the country. When studying and analyzing this period of history (1952-1970), it becomes necessary to make a detailed retrospective journey into the social and political history of Egypt in the first half of the 20th century as long as it was then that the prerequisites for the revolution of 1952 were formed. The first part of the work consists of several chapters which cover the period from 1922 to 1952 and describe the social and political changes in Egypt during the period of thirty years before the July coup in 1952. The second part contains information on the reforms and transformation during the rule of Gamal Abdel Nasser, as well as on the foreign policy of Egypt in the second half of the 20th century.
