Post-agricultural landscape changes of Gogland Island

Abstract

Магистерская диссертация выполнена в рамках проекта РГО "Культурные ландшафты острова Гогланд: история и динамика". Целью работы является изучение ландшафтов острова Гогланд с учетом их пространственных вариаций, морфогенетических особенностей почв и географических закономерностей распространения растительных сообществ. Работа актуальна в связи с созданием на острове двух ООПТ. Поэтому необходимо всесторонне изучить специфику географических закономерностей для данной территории, с целью обоснования ООПТ с указанием данных по антропогенной нагрузке, в том числе наблюдавшейся и во времена поселений финнов в бывших деревнях. В работе проводится анализ естественных и антропогенно нарушенных ландшафтов острова, приводится их сравнительная характеристика по главным компонентам: почвам и растительности. Выявлены изменения компонентов постагрикультурных ландшафтов, в частности, бывших финских сельскохозяйственных угодий.

The master's thesis was carried out within the framework of the RGS project "Cultural landscapes of the island of Gogland: history and dynamics". The aim of the work is to study the landscapes of the island of Gogland with taking into account their spatial variations, morphogenetic specific features of soils and geographic distribution patterns of plant communities. The work is relevant in connection with the creation of two SPNAs on the island. Therefore, it is necessary to study specificity of geographical patterns for a given territory, with the purpose of substantiating the SPNAs with the indication of data on anthropogenic load, including the observed and in times of settlements of the Finns in the former villages. The work analysis of natural and anthropogenically disturbed landscapes of the island, their comparative characteristics for main components: soils and vegetation. Identified changes components of post-agricultural landscapes, in particular, former Finnish agricultural land.
