Problems of a radioactive waste repository in clay

Abstract

Проблема захоронения радиоактивных отходов (РАО) является в настоящее время одной из важнейших проблем атомной промышленности: в соответствии с принятым в 2011 году законом, колоссальные объемы отходов, накопленные на территории Российской Федерации, подлежат обязательному захоронению. В работе выделены и проанализированы основные проблемы, связанные с захоронением РАО в глинах на примере участка предполагаемого строительства пункта захоронения РАО вблизи г. Сосновый Бор (Ленинградская обл.).

The problem of radioactive waste (RW) disposal nowadays is currently one of the most important problems of the nuclear industry: in accordance with the law adopted in 2011, huge volumes of waste accumulated on the territory of the Russian Federation are subject to mandatory disposal. The study identifies and analyzes the main problems connected with the disposal of RW in clay on the example of the site for the construction of a repository for RW near Sosnovy Bor (Leningrad Oblast).
