Indexing algorithms for PCM memory

Abstract

В данной работе были исследованы алгоритмы хеширования для памяти типа PCM, который является относительно новым видом памяти, в частности перспективным видом основной памяти. Для этого были изучены его характеристики и свойства, было произведено сравнение PCM с другими типами памяти. Основным результатом работы является модифицированный алгоритм расширяемого хеширования PCMFEH (PCM Friendly Extensible Hashing). Он представляет собой адаптацию стандартного расширяемого хеширования для памяти с изменением фазового состояния.

In this paper hashing algorithms for PCM memory was investigated. PCM is a relatively new type of memory, in particular, a promising type of main memory. For this research its characteristics and properties were studied and a comparison of PCM with other types of memory was made. The main result of the work is the modified algorithm of extensible hashing - PCMFEH (PCM Friendly Extensible Hashing). It is an adaptation of the standard extensible algorithm for phase change memory. The efficiency of this modification was confirmed by experiments.
