Cooperation between Russia and BRICS countries in the energy sector

Abstract

В работе определяются особенности мирового энергетического рынка, занимаемое место и роль стран БРИКС на нём, поскольку рынок энергетики в настоящее время оказывает существенное влияние на мировую политику, мировую экономику и систему международных отношений в целом, что подтверждают последние современные тенденции, получившие своё развитие в конце ХХ – начале XXI веков. Оценивается уровень развития энергетического взаимодействия России со странами БРИКС и уделяется особое внимание особенностям энергетического сотрудничества между ними, так как в настоящее время потребности всех государств БРИКС в нефти, природном газе, электроэнергии и других видах энергетических ресурсов растут с каждым годом. Государства находятся в постоянном поиске новых поставщиков. Наибольший интерес для всех стран организации представляют поставки энергетических ресурсов из России. КНР определяется как ключевой партнер России в сфере энергетики. На современном этапе перспективы энергетического сотрудничества РФ и КНР увеличиваются в связи с кризисом отношений России с партнерами по Европейскому Союзу, также на оказывает влияние и ситуация, которая сложилась сегодня на мировом рынке в сфере ценообразования. Говоря о тенденциях развития торговых отношений России и Китая подчеркивается, что на первое место сегодня выходят контакты в нефтегазовой области. Проведенное исследование определяют перспективные направления взаимного энергетического сотрудничества в рамках БРИКС. Становится очевидно, что реальные возможности в выработке общей внешней энергетической политики для стран БРИКС пока не так велики. Существуют слишком серьезные различия в их интересах в данной сфере. Наиболее реальной областью для БРИКС в современных условиях остается развитие внутреннего энергетического сотрудничества на основе финансовой и технологической поддержки.

The work determines the features of the world energy market, the place and role of the BRICS countries on it, as the energy market currently has a significant impact on world politics, the world economy and the system of international relations as a whole, as evidenced by the latest modern trends, ХХ - the beginning of the XXI-st centuries. The level of development of Russia's energy cooperation with the BRICS countries is assessed and special attention is paid to the peculiarities of energy cooperation between them, as at present the requirements of all BRICS states in oil, natural gas, electricity and other types of energy resources are growing every year. States are in constant search of new suppliers. The greatest interest for all countries of the organization is the supply of energy resources from Russia. China is defined as Russia's key partner in the energy sector. At the present stage, the prospects for energy cooperation between Russia and China are increasing due to the crisis of Russia's relations with its partners in the European Union, and the situation that has developed in the world market in the field of pricing also has an impact. Speaking about the trends in the development of trade relations between Russia and China, it is emphasized that contacts in the oil and gas field are coming to the forefront today. The conducted research determines perspective directions of mutual energy cooperation within the framework of BRICS. It becomes obvious that the real opportunities for developing a common external energy policy for the BRICS countries are not so great yet. There are too many differences in their interests in this area. The most realistic area for BRICS in modern conditions is the development of internal energy cooperation based on financial and technological support.
