Abstract

The main goals of the study may be described as: To analyze the existing literature and models, relating to knowledge sharing and especially to knowledge sharing in a small business. Analyze knowledge sharing barriers in a small business and after that give managerial recommendations to overcome these barriers. The method of the research was quantitative analyze focusing on small business. According to the results of the work it have been found that the main barriers in small business are individual factors, rather than organizational. Technological factors, such as integration of IT systems and availability of special places for the knowledge sharing have no significant effect on the intensity of the exchange of knowledge between employees in small companies. Based on these results the author has introduced several management solutions designed to help managers in small companies and increase the intensity of the knowledge sharing between employees.
