Xiantong Temple as an important monument of Chinese Buddhist architecture

Abstract

Данная работа посвящена выдающемуся памятнику архитектуры - монастырю Сяньтунсы, расположенному в горах Утайшань. За свою многовековую историю монастырь был посещён множеством императоров, каждый из которых вносил свою лепту в его существование, и претерпел самые различные изменения. В залах монастыря до сих пор хранятся важнейшие реликвии, а также и залы сами по себе являются важнейшими реликвиями. Соединив в себе художественные жанры и культуру разных эпох, монастырь стал одной из главнейших антропокультурных ценностей КНР. Также в работе присутствует история гор Утайшань, и информация о том, как культ бодхисаттвы Манджушри способствовал росту значения этих священных гор, как религиозного культового центра китайского буддизма.

This work is devoted to the outstanding monument of Chinese Buddhist architecture - Xiantong monastery, which is located in the mountains of Wutai. During its long history the monastery was visited by the emperors, each of which contributes something to its existence, and has undergone a variety of changes. In the halls of the monastery the most important relics are stored, as well as the rooms themselves are relics. Combining artistic genres and cultures of different ages, the monastery became one of the most important antropocultural values of China. Also this work presents the history of the events that occurred in the Wutai Mountains, and information about how the cult of the bodhisattva Manjushri has boosted the value of these sacred mountains, both religious and cult center of Chinese Buddhism
