Abstract
In the article were defined the life and the main activities of the old bolshevik Alexander G. Vasilyev (1988–1931), defended
the interests of a member of the Central Committee of the RCP(b), Commissar for Nationalities, the future Secretary-General of the
Central Committee of the RCP(b) I. V. Stalin after being wounded leader of the world revolution V. I. Lenin (August 30, 1918). At the head
of the party-state mechanism appeared Chairman of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee of the Council, the first Soviet
parliament, and the head of the Secretariat of the Bolshevik’s Central Committee Y. M. Sverdlov, called himself “the Chairman of the
Central Committee of the Russian Communist Party’. Vasiliev was at the forefront of the political departments of the Red Army, the
Russian Military Intelligence and Military Counterintelligence in their present form. Documentary base article made materials from
the Vasiliev’s personal fund, his profile in the All-Union Society of Old Bolsheviks, the Moscow Extraordinary Commission’s case “№
18487/3606 on charges Vasilyeva”, the verdict on the case, handed down by the Organising Bureau of the Central Committee of the
RCP (b) (Russian State Archive of Socio history-policy), track map Vasilyeva Collections service records of cards to the command and
administrative structure of the Red army (Russian State Military archive), as well as published sources. In the particular example
shows the degradation of the individual in a state of chaos and war. Civil war has broken psyche of many. An old Bolshevik, a prominent
figure in the army committees, member of several (2, 3, 5 and 6th) convening of the first Soviet parliament, Sverdlov’s legate in the
Military department, one of the founders of the military intelligence and military counterintelligence in its modern version, whose
contribution, however, is difficult to recognize the positive, broke down during the terror of the life of emptiness and despair.
