Armenia and the Southern Caucasus Countries under the Byzantine-Iranian and the Arab Domination

Abstract

In the monograph, the comprehensive history of Armenia, Kartli (Eastern Georgia) and (Caucasian) Albania under the Byzantine-Iranian and the Arab Domination (6th–9th Centuries) was investigated for the first time in the oriental studies on the basis of multilingual written monuments, as well as a number of researches by domestic and foreign authors. In this work, military-political, political-administrative, social and economic, religious and ideological situations of Armenia and Southern Caucasus countries in the early Middle Ages were studied in detail. The problems of genesis and development of the Armenian autonomous under the foreign Domination were studied too. This book is intended for the historians, as well as all those who are interested in early medieval history of the Anterior Asian countries.
