dc.description.abstractCuneiform documents from the Babylonian town Dūr-Enlillē that have been published in 2015 supposedly contain evidence on previously unknown members of the family of Enlil-kidinnī. He served as šandabakku (governor) of Nippur during the reign of the Kassite king Burna-Buriaš II (1359–1333 BC). If this assumption will prove true, it will testify that the political and economic influence of šandabakku of Nippur covered not only Nippur and the adjacent areas but extended further beyond.
