The modern status of the Lobashev’s physiological theory of mutational process is discussed. Attention is drawing to the main aspects of the theory: mutation as physiological process; "mediated" mutagenesis; the role of conformational changes in mutagenesis; the principle of "non-identical repairing"

Статья освещает современное положение физиологической теории мутационного процесса, предложенной М.Е. Лобашевым в 1946 г. Обсуждаются основные аспекты этой теории: физиологическая сущность мутационного процесса, опосредованный мутагенез, роль конформационных изменений в мутагенезе, принцип нетождественного восстановления.
