STUDIES ON THE ANALYSIS OF INHERITANCE OF THE EXCITABILITY OF MOTOR NERVE FILAMENTS

Abstract

The character of inheritance of dependence "strength—continuity" in two lines of fowl of the breeds Leghorn and Australorp which differ from each other in the parameter of excitability was studied and the constant b was measured on n. ichiadicus nerve. Analysis of excitability of reciprocal hybrids in the first generation (F₁) allowed us to suggest that the excitability character of Leghorn (which is comparatively lower) dominates. Back-cross on both parental forms (F B) supported the results obtained from the hybrids of the first generation.
