dc.description.abstract | A method for the determination of the sulfur mustard (SM) exposure biomarker-N7-[2-[(2-hydroxyethyl) thio]-ethyl]guanine (N7-HETEG) byhigh-performance liquid chromatography-positive electrospray tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-ESI-MS/MS) was developed. An analytical standard of N7-HETEG was synthesized and purified ( 90%). The limit of detection of the developed method is1 ng/mL. The method was linearly calibrated from 1 ng/mL to 100 ng/mL.The method was further applied for the quantifications of N7-HETEG in rat urine exposed of SM in vivo at dosage of 2 mg/kg. Refs 13.
