Abstract

The article considers the most important for understanding the author‘s conception of the relation of issues of social aspects and problems of religion / faith in the prose by F. N . Gorenstein 1960-1970- ies. The basic texts of the writer found a peculiar pair Judaic and Christian traditions. Appealing to the biblical canon, F. N . Gorenstein encourages the reader to reinterpret universal religious attitudes in the social and moral context. Consideration of this technique reveals the essential features of the individual picture of the world of the writer. Refs 12.
