Development of the landscape therapeutic potential of medical institutions in St Petersburg

Abstract

Проект посвящен изучению возможностей развития терапевтического потенциала ландшафта в медицинских учреждениях. Модельным объектом для практического формирования концепции выбран санаторный комплекс в г. Сестрорецке, расположенный по адресу улица Полевая д. 16 и д. 21. Проект разработан совместно с А.Финовой, в связи с чем, наряду с общей целью, в нём выделена более узкая цель в рамках темы, а именно, разработать концепцию модернизации архитектурного облика существующих зданий разрабатываемого объекта, как части ландшафта, созданию взаимосвязи пространств ландшафта и интерьеров санатория, а также, анализ возможности функциональной адаптации зданий к современным требованиям комфорта пациентов и новой модели предоставления медицинских услуг населению. В ходе работы была изучена история развития лечебных учреждений, как в России, так и в мире, которая берет свое начало еще со времен Древней Греции, а уже к концу 20 века показывает что, больницы превращаются в огромные многоэтажные комплексы. Должное внимание уделено анализу рассматриваемых аналогов: крупных реализованных проектов известных архитекторов современности, интерьерам, созданным в этих учреждениях, грамотной планировке зданий и организации комфортных условий, в особенности, взаимодействия с ландшафтом. На основе полученных знаний, была разработана следующая концепция: развитие оздоровительной, лечебной среды санатория с помощью света, цвета, натуральных материалов, напоминающих природную среду, а также интеграции озеленения в интерьеры зданий. Учтены визуальные связи с ландшафтом, разработаны различные сценарии использования пространства и передвижения по комплексу санатория. В результате достигнуто повышение качества среды в части её разнообразия, способности создавать позитивный настрой, обладать высоким качеством взаимодействия с природой в любое время года, что и было целью работы.

The project is devoted to studying the possibilities of developing the therapeutic potential of the landscape in medical institutions. The sanatorium complex in Sestroretsk, located at 16 Polevaya Street and 21, was chosen as a model object for the practical development of the concept. The project was developed jointly with A.Finova, therefore, along with a common goal, it has a narrower goal within the framework of the theme, namely, to develop a concept for modernizing the architectural appearance of existing buildings of the designed object as part of the landscape, creating a relationship between landscape spaces and Interiors of the sanatorium, as well as the analysis of the possibility of functional adaptation of buildings to modern requirements of patient comfort and a new model of providing medical services to the population. n the course of the work, the history of the development of medical institutions was studied both in Russia and in the world, which dates back to the times of Ancient Greece, and by the end of the 20th century shows that hospitals are turning into huge multi-storey complexes. Due attention is paid to the analysis of the analogues under consideration: major projects implemented by renowned modern architects, interiors created in these institutions, competent layout of buildings and organization of comfortable conditions, in particular, interaction with the landscape. On the basis of the knowledge gained, the following concept was developed: the development of the sanatorium's health and healing environment with the help of light, color, natural materials reminiscent of the natural environment, and the integration of gardening into the interiors of buildings. Considered the visual connection with the landscape, developed various scenarios for the use of space and movement around the sanatorium complex. As a result, the quality of the environment was improved in terms of its diversity, the ability to create a positive attitude, to have a high quality of interaction with nature at any time of the year, which was the purpose of the work.
