Historical and actual implications of “Perestroika” movement in contemporary American political science

Abstract

The author explores a problem of correlation of reasons and contents of the activities of “Perestroika” movement in American political science of the beginning of the 21st century and of the “Caucus for New Political Science” of the 60-70s of the last century and reveals their essential similarity and even concurrence of the most points of their critical theses and demands that testifi es to the stable character of some negative tendencies in theoretico-methodological and practical aspects of the development of political science in the USA that are being analyzed in the article.
