Method for calculation of evaporation from water surface based on data from continental evaporation pan GGI-3000

Abstract

A method for calculating the mean monthly sum of evaporation from the water surface using data from the continental GGI-3000 evaporation pan is proposed. It is based on zonal characteristic features of evaporation. A latitude was used as a zonality indicator. This method allows for calculating evaporation from the water surface for the months of June, July, August and September. Testing the method with independent data reflected that it allows to estimate mean monthly sum of evaporation from the water surface with errors ±15÷20 %. Refs. 5. Figs. 3. Tabl. 2.
