The changes in the ice conditions of the north-western part of the Arctic Ocean over the period between 1979 and 2022

Abstract

В работе представлены результаты исследования долгопериодных изменений ледовитости и сплоченности морского ледяного покрова в северо-западной части Северного Ледовитого океана за период 1979-2022 гг. Материалы были получены из базы данных по морскому льду, созданной в Арктическом и антарктическом научно-исследовательском институте. Получены количественные сравнительные оценки изменения указанных ледовых характеристик. Рассчитаны турбулентные потоки тепла между океаном и атмосферой в различные сезоны года.

The long-term changes in ice extent and concentration of ice in the northwestern part of the Arctic Ocean (AO) for the period 1979-2022 were presented. The data were obtained from the sea ice database created at Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute. Quantitative comparative assessments of these mentioned ice characteristics are obtained. Turbulent heat fluxes between the ocean and the atmosphere in different seasons of the year are calculated.
