Arctic intentions of China, South Korea, Japan: the water-bassin principle of interaction

Abstract

Данная работа призвана продемонстрировать значимость пресноводной системы, бассейнов её водосбора, для региональной политики, окружающей среды Арктики и трёх государств Северо-Восточной Азии. Посредством определения арктических стратегий стран Северо-Восточной Азии и существующих арктических программ и проектов, объясняются возможности водно-бассейнового принципа для формирования нового направления международного регионального политического взаимодействия, отражающего комплексный характер водной среды Арктики и представляющего перспективные возможности для Китая, Республики Корея, Японии, а также для России в качестве основного партнёра.

This work is intended to demonstrate the importance of the freshwater system and its catchment basins for the regional policy and environment of the Arctic, as well as for the three states of Northeast Asia. By defining the Arctic strategies of the countries of Northeast Asia and existing Arctic programs and projects, the possibilities of the water-basin principle for the formation of a new direction of international and regional political interaction are explained, reflecting the complex nature of the aquatic environment of the Arctic and presenting promising opportunities for China, the Republic of Korea, Japan, including Russia as the primary partner.
