The crisis of cultural identity and the search for an alternative in the literature of 'young emigrants': the case study of B.Yu.Poplavsky

Abstract

В исследовательской работе на примере Б.Ю. Поплавского рассматривается феномен кризиса идентичности. Производится обзор высказываний современников поэта по вопросу его культурной и литературной принадлежности. Анализируется стратегия репрезентации образа "молодого поколения" в философских и публицистических статьях Б.Ю. Поплавского, а также в его романной дилогии "Аполлон Безобразов" и "Домой с небес". Оценивается явление поколенческой самоидентификации, как альтернативы, приобретающей актуальность в условиях эмиграции.

The phenomenon of identity crisis is considered in the research work on the example of B.Y. Poplavsky. The author reviews the statements of the poet's contemporaries on the issue of his cultural and literary affiliation. The strategy of representation of the image of the "young generation" in B.Y. Poplavsky's philosophical and publicistic articles, as well as in his novel dilogy "Apollo Bezobrazov" and "Home from Heaven" is analyzed. The phenomenon of generational self-identification is evaluated as an alternative that becomes relevant in the conditions of emigration.
