The last shift

Abstract

“ Последняя смена” - это картина о взрыве, о страхе смерти, о трагедии. Я выбрал эту тему из реальных историй которые рассказывал мне мой дедушка. Работы в шахтах представляют собой опасный труд. Мой дедушка был шахтером, в детстве он много рассказывал страшные истории с работы, раньше я слушал все через призму детской наивности, а сейчас, будучи взрослым я понимаю всю серьезность его профессии и он для меня не только герой из детских историй, но и пример смелости и трудолюбия. Основой для идеи моей дипломной работы стал несчастный случай в Венгрии в 1978 году, это день памяти на многие годы. Это день когда произошел самый масштабный взрыв в Шахтах. По рассказам моего дедушки, самое страшное в работе шахтера это Метан, когда воздух напитан Метаном любое лишнее движение может стать летальным. Моей целью было передать в картине чувство ужаса, опасности, страха в момент происходящего.

"The Last Shift" is a painting about an explosion, about the fear of death, about tragedy. I chose this theme from the real stories my grandfather told me. Working in the mines is dangerous work. My grandfather was a miner, in the childhood he told a lot of terrible stories from his work, before I listened to everything through the prism of childish naivety, but now, being an adult, I understand all the seriousness of his profession and he for me is not only the hero of childhood stories, but also an example of courage and diligence. The basis of the idea for my diploma work was an accident in Hungary in 1978, a day I will remember for many years. This is the day when the largest explosion occurred in the Mine. According to the stories of my grandfather, the most terrible thing in the miner's work is Methane, when the air is saturated with Methane any unnecessary movement can be fatal. My goal was to convey a sense of horror, danger, fear in the moment of what was happening.
