Evolutionary model of competition between telephone service providers

Abstract

В настоящий момент одним из наиболее актуальных вопросов экономики является задача прогнозирования реакции потребительского рынка на ценовую политику компаний. В рамках данный работы этот вопрос рассматривается на примере конкуренции операторов сотовой связи с помощью инструментов эволюционной теории игр. Построена математическая модель процесса, в котором абоненты – агенты популяции, реагируют на изменение цен пересмотром выбранного сотового оператора, то есть своей стратегии. Итогом работы является программный продукт для построения графического представления общих тенденций поведения абонентов в зависимости от установленных цен на услуги связи.

The forecast of customer’s behavior is one of the most important questions for the market of cellular communication providers at the present moment. In this research project it is analyzed a competition between cellular communication providers based on the evolutionary game theory. It has been shown as a mathematical model of the process, where economic agents of population react to the price changes by choosing the provider. This process is equivalent to a process of selecting strategies in evolutionary games. The result of this work is a software product for visualization of the general tendencies of the consumer’s behavior depending on the prices of the cellular communication providers.
