Checking timber preservation during transport using computer vision

Abstract

В данной работе предложен алгоритм распознавания торцов бревен на изображении задней части лесовоза. Описаны методы машинного обучения и компьютерного зрения, использованные при разработке алгоритма. Идея алгоритма заключается в нахождении окружностей на изображении и дальнейшем исключении тех окружностей, которые не соответствуют торцам бревен. Описаны некоторые доработки и модификации стандартных алгоритмов, нашедшие применение в данной работе. Приведены результаты тестирования работы представленного алгоритма и описана его реализация.

In this paper, we propose an algorithm of recognition timber ends on image of the back of the timber carrier. This algorithm bases on machine learning methods and computer vision technique. The idea of ​​the algorithm is to find the circles on image and then exclude circles, those do not correspond to the ends of the logs. We also describe some of the improvements and modifications of standard algorithms, which have found application in this paper. Results of the algorithm operation are given and its implementation is described.
