dc.description.abstractSince the beginning of the 1920s. Riga became one of the capitals of the Russian diaspora. The logical question is about the preservation of the archives of the Russian emigrants in Latvia. Information about the Russian emigrants can be found in the rich collections of the Latvian State Historical Archives. So after years of searching managed to raise funds in a variety of life information about the schoolmaster and philosopher Aleksander Veideman, to clarify the details of his life in Latvia, set the date and place of burial. Veideman was a graduate of St. Petersburg University, a disciple of prof. Aleksander Vvedenskii (1879–1943). In Latvia the philosopher wrote and published many books on philosophy. His scientific research ran from Neo-Kantianism to Neo-Hegelianism. Veideman close contact with colleagues from the Kaunas University, in 1927 he defended at this university doctorate. From his youth he retained friendly relations with the philosopher Vasili Sezeman (1884–1963). Refs 23.en_GB
