Problems of sustainable development on the example of Russian oil companies

Abstract

Целью данной ВКР является проведение оценки устойчивого развития российских нефтяных компаний и на этом основании выявление их основных проблем УР. В работе определена специфика концепции устойчивого развития для предприятий нефтяной отрасли. Она заключается в большой значимости экологического аспекта, а также невозможности быстрого изменения стратегий развития нефтяных компаний компании в силу длительности их инвестиционного и производственного циклов. Также были определены существующие методы оценки корпоративного устойчивого развития. Был определен наиболее подходящий для применения в нефтяной отрасли метод оценки рейтингование. Он основывается на оценке показателей, раскрываемых компаниями в отчетах в области УР. В работе были выявлены подходы к анализу влияния устойчивого развития и его отдельных составляющих на финансовые показатели деятельности компании. На основе изученного материала было определено, что влияние показателей УР на финансовое положение компании является неочевидным. Был разработан инструментарий оценки УР российских нефтяных компаний на основе их рейтингования. Метод предполагает проведение расчета в 3 этапа. По итогам оценки УР был составлен рейтинг российских нефтяных компаний от наиболее устойчивых к наименее устойчивым по итогам 2018 г. Научная новизна состоит в выявлении группы показателей, пригодных для оценки степени устойчивости развития нефтегазовых компаний РФ, позволяющих оценить современные проблемы их устойчивого развития.

The aim of this master thesis is to assess the sustainable development of Russian oil companies and, on this basis, identify their main problems of sustainable development. The paper defines the specifics of the concept of sustainable development for oil industry enterprises. It's the great importance of the environmental aspect, as well as the inability to quickly change the development strategies of the companies due to the length of their investment and production cycles. The existing methods of assessing corporate sustainable development were also identified. The most suitable rating method for application in the oil industry was determined. It is based on assessment of the indicators disclosed by companies in their sustainability reports. The paper identifies approaches to analyzing the impact of sustainable development and its individual components on the company's financial performance. Based on the material studied, it was determined that the impact of sustainability indicators on the company's financial position is not obvious. A tool was developed for assessing the sustainability of Russian oil companies based on their rating. The method involves performing the calculation in 3 stages. Based on the results of the assessment, a rating of Russian oil companies was compiled from the most stable to the least stable at the end of 2018. The scientific novelty consists in identifying a group of indicators that are suitable for assessing the degree of sustainability of oil and gas companies in the Russian Federation, allowing to assess the current problems of their sustainable development.
