Socio-economic analysis of employment in the beauty industry: a case study of St Petersburg

Abstract

Данная работа посвящена социально-экономическому исследованию занятости в индустрии красоты на примере Санкт-Петербурга и представлена в двух главах. В первой главе исследования были рассмотрены ключевые положения основных экономических теорий регулирования рынка трудовых ресурсов, специфические особенности и проблемы занятости российского рынка труда, которые позволили выявить значение индустрии красоты в экономике РФ. Также была определена специфика занятости в сфере бытовых услуг в целом и в индустрии красоты в частности. В заключительном параграфе главы представлена методология проведения социально-экономического анализа занятости и определен перечень необходимых показателей и данных. Во второй главе исследования был проведен социально-экономический анализ занятости индустрии красоты в Санкт-Петербурге в 2018-2020 гг. Результаты позволили выявить ключевые проблемы динамики занятости в исследуемом секторе. В соответствии с установленными недостатками автором были предложены направления регулирования занятости в индустрии красоты Санкт-Петербурга.

This work is devoted to the socio-economic study of employment in the beauty industry using the example of St. Petersburg and is presented in two chapters. The first chapter of the study examined the key provisions of the main economic theories of labor market regulation, specific features and problems of employment in the Russian labor market, which made it possible to identify the importance of the beauty industry in the Russian economy. Also, the specifics of employment in the field of personal services in general and in the beauty industry in particular were determined. In the final paragraph of the chapter, a methodology for conducting a socio-economic analysis of employment is presented and a list of necessary indicators and data is determined. In the second chapter of the study, a socio-economic analysis of the employment of the beauty industry in St. Petersburg in 2018-2020 was carried out. The results made it possible to identify the key problems of employment dynamics in the studied sector. In accordance with the identified shortcomings, the author proposed directions for regulating employment in the beauty industry of St. Petersburg.
