Methodological bases for determining and measuring the quality of life: the case of young students in St Petersburg

Abstract

Работа посвящена проблеме разработки методологии определения и измерения качества жизни. В введении обосновывается актуальность темы, перечислены цели и задачи. В теоретической части рассмотрены история эволюции концепции качества жизни и ее развитие в социологических теориях, подходы к изучения и определению данной категории, дается авторское понятие качества жизни и примеры методологий его оценки. В практической части на примере учащейся молодежи г. Санкт-Петербурга с помощью полуструктурированного интервью проверяется эффективность теоретических моделей, разработанных учеными, анализируется особенности восприятия категории качества жизни молодыми людьми, проводится пилотаж методологии для использования в последующих подобного рода исследованиях. В конце делается общий вывод о необходимости продолжать изучение темы методологии определения и оценки качества жизни, особенно для России, описываются возможные трудности для будущих исследователей данного вопроса, даются перспективные направления для дальнейшего анализа.

The work is devoted to the problem of developing a methodology for determining and measuring the quality of life. The introduction substantiates the relevance of the topic, lists the goals and objectives. In the theoretical part, the history of the evolution of the concept of the quality of life and its development in sociological theories are analyzed, approaches to the study and definition of this category are considered, the author's concept of the quality of life and examples of methodologies for its assessment are given. In the practical part, using the example of student youth in St. Petersburg, with a semi-structured interview, the effectiveness of theoretical models developed by scientists is checked, the peculiarities of the perception of the category of quality of life by young people are analyzed, and the methodology is piloted for use in subsequent studies of this kind. At the end, a general conclusion is drawn about the need to continue studying the topic of methodology for determining and assessing the quality of life, especially for Russia, possible difficulties for future researchers of this issue are described, and promising directions for further analysis are given.
