Quantization of random sets in the Boolean model with variable intensity

Abstract

Рассматривается Булева модель случайного множества с переменной интенсивностью, выступающая в качестве случайного элемента в пространстве компактов с метрикой Хаусдорфа. Изучается вопрос, какова вероятность того, что потребуется большое количество шаров, чтобы восстановить это множество. Получены асимптотические оценки вероятностей для некоторых распределений радиусов шаров.

We consider Boolean model of the random set with variable intensity as a random element of the space of compacts equipped with the Hausdorff metric. We study the probability that a large number of balls is needed to reconstruct this set. Asymptotic estimates of this probability are obtained for some distributions of the radii.
