The engineering and geological conditions assessment of the territories with a high seismic activity

Abstract

Тема выпускной квалификационной работы: «Оценка инженерно-геологических условий территории с повышенной сейсмичностью (на примере Крымского полуострова)». Работа изложена на 95 страницах, включает 7 таблиц, 13 рисунков и 6 приложений. Для ее написания использовано 43 источника. Выпускная работа состоит из введения, трех глав и заключения. Целью работы является изучение сейсмичности южного побережья Крымского полуострова в составе общей оценки инженерно-геологических условий участков строительства. В первой главе описаны физико-географическая и экономическая характеристики Крымского полуострова. Во второй главе представлено описание геологического строения южного побережья полуострова, в том числе, гидрогеологического и геоморфологического строения. В главе «Специальная часть» подробно изучена сейсмическая активность южного побережья Крымского полуострова, описаны инженерно-геологические условия семи участков строительства и их сейсмическая активность. Выдвинуты предположения о влиянии тех или иных факторов на величину активности и предложены варианты упрощения проведения инженерно-геологических изысканий на участках с повышенной сейсмичностью.

Topic of dissertation thesis: "Assessment of the engineering-geological conditions of the territory with increased seismicity (based on the Crimean Peninsula)". The dissertation is presented on 95 pages; it includes 7 tables, 13 figures and 6 applications. 43 sources were analyzed and involved in this research paper. The thesis includes introduction, three chapters and conclusion. The research purpose is purpose of work is an analysis of the requirements for engineering and geological surveys in areas with increased seismicity on the example of studies on the Crimean Peninsula. The first chapter provides a description of the physical, geographical, and economic characteristics of the Crimean Peninsula. The second chapter describes the geological structure of the peninsula’s southern coast and particularly reviews the hydrogeological and geomorphological structures. The aim of the “Special part” chapter is to give a complete and clear view of the seismic activity of the southern coast of the Crimean Peninsula and to properly examine the engineering and geological conditions of the seven survey sites and seismic activity of theirs. During the research in this chapter the important results were obtained, which permitted to make assumptions about the influence of various factors on the magnitude of activity and to propose options for simplifying geotechnical surveys in areas with increased seismicity.
