Restoration of the mahogany armchair of the 19th century

Abstract

Данная выпускная квалификационная работа посвящена реставрации кресла красного дерева XIX века из Научной библиотеки им. М. Горького Санкт-Петербургского Государственного Университета. В работе представлена историческая справка об особенностях форм и конструкции поступившего в реставрацию кресла, являющегося примером мебели эпохи классицизма. Особое внимание уделено паспорту реставрации, который содержит в себе сведения о состоянии памятника до реставрации, проведении и описании реставрационных работ, а также иллюстративный материал в виде подбора аналогов, фотодокументации и картограмм состояния памятника до реставрации. В результате проведённых реставрационных мероприятий кресло выведено из аварийного состояния, в котором находилось до поступления в реставрацию.

This graduate qualifying work is devoted to the restoration of mahogany armchair of the XIXth century from the Scientific library named after M. Gorky of St. Petersburg State University. The work presents historical information about the features of the forms and design of entered for restoration armchair, which is an example of furniture of the classicism period. Particular attention is paid to the passport of restoration, which contains information about the state of the monument before the restoration, carrying out and describing the restoration process. Also tere is an illustrative material in the form of selection of analogues, photo documentation and maps of the state of the monument before the restoration. As a result of the restoration activities, the armchair was removed from the emergency state, which was before the arrival on the restoration.
