Stress of everyday life and coping strategies in families with children suffering from Type 1 Diabetes mellitus

Abstract

В рамках данной исследовательской работы проведено исследование повседневного стресса, копинг-поведения и семейного функционирования в семьях с ребенком, страдающим СД1, а также валидизация анкеты повседневного стресса для подростков с СД1 и родителей детей, страдающих СД1. В исследовании приняли участие 23 матери, 4 отца и 21 подросток, которые столкнулись с СД1. Респондентам предлагалось пройти методику диагностики отношения к болезни ребенка (ДОБР; В.Е.Каган, И.П.Журавлева), шкалу воспринимаемого стресса – 10 (ШВС-10), валидизированную Абабковым В.А., методику Big-5, опросник «Взаимодействие родитель-ребенок (ВРР)» Марковской И. М., копинг-тест Лазаруса, опросник «Шкала семейной адаптации и сплоченности (Опросник FACES-3 / Тест Д. Х. Олсона)», а также анкету повседневного стресса и стрессоров, связанных с СД ребенка. Статистическая обработка результатов включала частотный анализ, сравнение выборок по U-критерию Манна-Уитни (Mann — Whitney U-test) и регрессионный анализ. Для валидизации анкеты был подсчитан коэффициент надежности альфа Кронбаха и произведен факторный анализ. Исследование показало, что заболевание ребенка влияет не только на стресс, который испытывает каждый член семейной системы, включая самого больного и его родителей, но и на все семейное функционирование в целом. Также была составлена анкета наблюдения за повседневным стрессом для родителей детей с СД1 и подростков с СД1.

In this study everyday stress, coping and family functioning in families where child suffers with first type diabetes were analyzed. Also, a questionnaire of everyday stress was validated for adolescents with first type diabetes and parents, whose children sufferes with first type diabetes. The sample consists of 23 mothers, 4 fathers and 21 adolescents. Participants were asked to pass the following surveys: method of diagnosis of the attitude to the child's illness (DOBR; Kagan, Zhuravleva), the scale of perceived stress - 10 (ShVS-10), validated by Ababkov, the Big-5 method (for parents) or Trier questionnarie (for adolescents) , the questionnaire "Parent- child interaction(VRR)» by Markovskaya, Lazarus coping test, questionnaire «Scale of family adaptation and cohesion (FACES-3 Questionnaire / Olson test)», a questionnaire of everyday stress and stressors associated with diabetes. Statistical processing of the results included frequency analysis, Mann — Whitney U-test and regression analysis. Questionnaire validation included Cronbach's Alpha and factor analysis. The study showed that the child's illness affects not only every member’s of the family system, including the patient himself and his parents, stress, but also family functioning in general. A questionnaire of everyday stress for parents of children with first type diabetes and adolescents with first type diabetes was designed.
